Step 1 Expression of Interest

Interested teams must fill in an Expression of Interest form to request participation in the European Robotics League 2026 and provide the following information about the team by the first deadline 1 February 2026

Submitting an expression of interest does not automatically grant a team the right to compete in the European Robotics League. Expressions of interest are non-binding and are used by the organization to assess final participation.

Step 2 Selection and Confirmation

The final selection of participating teams is made by the European Robotics League organization and is based on the specific episode(s) a team wishes to compete in, the number of available competition slots, and the information provided about the team and its robot(s). This process ensures that participating teams and platforms are appropriate for the technical scope, safety requirements, and objectives of each episode.

Teams will be informed of the outcome of the selection process no later than 13 February 2026.

Once a team confirms its final participation, it becomes an official ERL entry. From that point onward, the team leader listed in the Team Information Form will serve as the primary point of contact with the Organising Committee.

After confirmation of participation, teams are expected to take part in the competition and may not change the selected episode. Withdrawal is only permitted for justified reasons approved by the organization. In cases of unapproved withdrawal, the European Robotics League reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee. Fees may be waived in cases of force majeure.

Team selection decisions are final. To ensure a fair and efficient process for all applicants, the organization is unable to enter into individual discussions or correspondence regarding the outcome of the selection.
